Sitowise is strengthening its local service offering in the heart of Savo by acquiring Insinööritoimisto LVI-Insinöörit Oy, an engineering firm based in Kuopio and specialising in HVAC design. There are 66 experts in structural engineering, renovation, acoustics, infrastructure construction, road and street design, geotechnics, water services and transport employed in Kuopio.

“LVI-Insinöörit’s involvement in Sitowise will strengthen competences in our Housing business in the Kuopio area. LVI-Insinöörit Oy’s strong expertise and experience were just what we were looking for in the Kuopio area,” says Timo Palonkoski, Director of the Housing business and Senior Vice President.

“By joining forces with LVI-Insinöörit, we will be able to provide our customers in North Savo with better service and our regional footprint will expand significantly thanks to the company’s experienced designers. Both companies have a highly diverse range of experience. Together, they will complement each other and offer opportunities for involvement in different projects and new types of site in the entire Savo region,” says Jan Tapper, Director of the Building Services business area.

LVI-Insinöörit Oy was established in 1986, and it has strong local knowledge of Kuopio and the surrounding municipalities. In its time in business, it has specialised in new-build and renovation sites with buildings for many different purposes. In addition to HVAC and building automation design services, the company offers HVAC technology construction contracting and supervisory services, condition inspections and energy audits for cities, municipalities, construction firms, housing companies and property owners.

LVI-Insinöörit will continue operating under its own name as a subsidiary of Sitowise but the companies’ experts will immediately begin working in close cooperation with each other and with Sitowise’s other services.

The company’s entire team of eight experts will continue in their current roles, including Eero Korhonen, who will remain the company’s managing director. The company’s former owners, Eero Korhonen and Ilkka Lappalainen, will become Sitowise shareholders as a result of the transaction.
