- This spring, together with our experts, we have discussed what Sitowise's strategy means for us in Buildings business area. In a challenging market situation, we need a clear and inspiring direction that springs from understanding customers and markets. The construction industry is undergoing a transformation as society undergoes significant changes and at the same time legislative changes related to sustainability and technological development shape customer needs. We need to lead the change, not just follow it, says Business Area Director Timo Räikkönen.

The Buildings business area invests in renewal, experts, sustainable growth and efficiency.

– We want to offer our experts a community where the opportunity to develop and get excited is at the core. We recognise opportunities to offer Sitowise's services extensively and actively also in new segments, such as property life cycle management, energy and industry. We invest in the efficiency and profitability of our projects and understand the potential of data and technology in business development. In this way, we will also be more prepared when the construction market begins to rise. I believe that with these themes, the Buildings business area will develop in the desired direction.

At the beginning of August, two new members will start on the Buildings business area Management Team

Milla Lötjönen (pictured right) will start as Director responsible for the development and renewal of operating methods in the Buildings business area. In her new role, Milla's task is to support and lead operational development in the Buildings business area. Milla has worked in various positions at Sitowise since 2009, most recently leading the Group's strategic Smartest Ways to Work project.

Juha-Pekka Kumpulainen (pictured left) will start as Director of the Structural Engineering Division. Juha-Pekka joined Sitowise in 2017 and has worked in the company as Director of the Northern Finland Regional Unit of the Buildings business area, among other things.

– The goal is for Buildings to have the best management team to take us forward in a changing world. Both Milla's and Juha-Pekka's long careers, innovative attitude and experience in business development further strengthen the Building Management Team. We have a strong foundation to build, renew and grow Buildings’ business, Timo Räikkönen sums up.
