Sitowise monitors the development of the company's emissions and the impacts of the implemented emission reduction measures annually by calculating its carbon footprint. The calculation is based on the globally recognized Greenhouse Gas Protocol method, which is the most widely used framework for calculating and reporting organizations' annual greenhouse gas emissions. In 2024, the carbon footprint was calculated for the operations of Sitowise Finland, Sitowise Sweden and Infracontrol AB, a subsidiary of Sitowise Group.

Sitowise has been calculating the greenhouse gas emissions caused by its own operations since 2022. Efforts have been made to develop the calculation year by year to be more comprehensive, for example, in terms of data quality. The calculation covers Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions identified as material for Sitowise. The calculation provides a comprehensive picture of the organisation's carbon footprint, which creates a basis for emission reduction measures and the achievement of emission targets.

In 2023 and 2024, the calculation was carried out to meet the requirements of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), and the calculation for 2024 was verified by an external party. In the spring of 2024, an internal process was launched for data collection and the development targets identified in the calculation.

The calculation was developed to be more comprehensive by adding data from the services procured by Sitowise. In order to maintain comparability, purchased services were also updated in the calculation for the year 2023, which was set as the base year.

The results of the calculation and key figures are reported annually as part of the annual reporting
